Chapter one

First the foundation

EEERRRRRRR goes the buzzer... EEERRRR EEERRRR again.

Pulling under the plant, our concrete truck friend, knows what to do.

He has been practicing at the factory for months.

Will he get his drum filled up, for a new building, a new house, or his best friend's

new school?

Conrad T.C. Truck is his name, and he's excited as ever, for his first day on the

job.

But a little nervous too.

Wouldn't you?

And an exciting and meaningful day it will be too.

Climbing into the cab is his new driver.

Bud is his name.

Buds newer to driving, but he is as excited as Conrad, to get going.

As the engine is rumbling, and the concrete pours into his drum, both bud and

the truck are

bounced about.

Feeling like he's gonna burst, the buzzer goes off.

Letting both truck and driver know, that they are full.

A few months prior, the shovels had pierced the ground.

Shiny golden shovels, being held, by the new directors of the local orphanage

The land was quite vast

Rolling hills and a stream that went through the heart of the property, and in the

center of it all, was

a single tree

The children who come here, will finally find peace, said the director

Peace that I most desperately needed at their ages

After the groundbreaking, the workers came in, and prepared the ground for

the new buildings

Big, beautiful buildings that will house the most needy

And guess who's going to help?

Now that he's all filled up, Conrad and bud carefully make their way to the jobsite.

At the corner of, faith and hope, bud turns right.

Pulling onto the long stone covered driveway, Conrad's headlights are shining

on the ground.

The ground that will soon have, the most important part of the building.

The foundation!
