My hope is this book will expose the abuse, neglect, and failure of the system to provide protection from abusive families. Many families need intervention, and many children need rescue. May this book show readers how little it takes to make a huge difference in a child's life. An encouraging word from you may be remembered for a lifetime.In writing this book and working with my editors, I attempted to present my reality without describing it in overly graphic or offensive detail. But my reality was offensive to me and should be to you too. So I've left in some of the abusive and street language in direct quotes. I hope you can forgive the foul language, as I forgive those who spoke those words, and God forgives us all.
