Confessions of a WANNABE Vampire

I am born of the day. He is born of the night. I, the chosen Dilecta of one of the most powerful vampire Families ever to govern the undead world. He, the Heir of a reviled coven, a scorned Family thought to be extinct for the last two centuries. I don't see him coming, and I'm not prepared for what follows. Not the war, the bloodshed, or the betrayal. And definitely not the feelings I now struggle to hide. I'm caught in the middle, adrift in a world that would rather see me dead than side-by-side with him. We don't belong together. He's a vampire. A shadow in the dark. I'm a morning star. A human.
