Colt

Colt Rivers lived in a confusing world having been born half white and half Indian. He had grown up in an Indian village with his mother, Windwoman. During the Indian wars he had fought the army as an Indian brave, one with blue eyes. He had often wondered how his mother had become involved with a white soldier, but never knew until he met his birth father. When Colt became an adult he went to Washington D. C. to work on Indian rights and to help his people, but it was to no avail and he returned home. He was tired, discouraged, and confused. Was he a white man trying to become an Indian? Or was he an Indian trying to become a white man? Fate throws him into the arms of a beautiful woman who is also of mixed blood and they travel a road together that brings them to points of despair almost beyond human endurance. Colt struggles with living in the shadow of his famous mother, the great Warrior Woman, Windwoman. She has become a legend across the plains for many years. While in Washington D.C. Colt loses his ability to fight and becomes "civilized." Now with a bounty on his head and the search for a killer, who is looking for Colt's wife, he must get back his confidence and warrior skills fast.
