Closet Bones

This is a whodunit murder mystery, fairly challenging, with lots of characters, many complex backstories and murder motives. The victim's backstory was the most complex of all. The effective and thorough but colorless investigating detective works hard to sort through and reassemble her closet bones. The victim's two main friends work with and around the detective in trying to piece together her life. In the process they are both victims of attempted murder, which complicates the dangerous investigation. So too does their forbidden but compelling attraction to each other.
