Going home isn't easy, but sometimes it changes everything. Hailey Anderson's job at the family textile mill is simply frustrating. During a time when mills are closing all around them, her father won't listen to her ideas for saving the business. Finally, she leaves North Carolina and moves to Colorado, to be near her sister.

But when a health crisis strikes her father only months later, he asks Hailey to return and take over as acting president of the mill. Maybe she'll be able to save the mill and finally gain her father's approval.

Hailey returns home but things aren't what they seem at Anderson Mill. She and the assistant manager clash and buried family secrets simmer just below the surface-secrets no one will talk about, especially her father. Her only spark of joy is her budding romance with her neighbor, Alex Moreno, but is it for real?
