So, in 2013, for her 80th birthday, her family brought her to Chincoteague for Pony Penning, renting a condo overlooking the swim. But there is more! Her family surprised her by purchasing a buyback foal for her at auction. When the crowd found out the buyback was for the birthday of an 80-year-old grandma, they burst into a chorus of Happy Birthday as she stroked the black and white filly in the ring.
