Chemoselective Nucleophilic a-Amination of Amides

a-Amino carbonyl compounds are omnipresent in all living organisms, making their selective synthesis highly sought after. However, the synthesis of a-amino amides, a subclass of a-amino carbonyls, in the presence of other carbonyls is usually challenging, due to the required harsh conditions.
