Beskrivelse
Foreword
The poets at Inner Child Press outline both the ways we can change the world and the ways we must change ourselves and our relationship to the world. We can plant trees for the next generation and flowers for our neighbors to enjoy. We can hold less tightly to what we think of as ours and more tightly to those we love. We can extend the circle of who we love to all eight billion of us.
We are all affected by the neighborhoods we live in and all the neighborhoods in the world are connected. Through this book, you and I are connected to people in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe, Australia, and North and South America. We all share this world with other living beings, trees, wolves, and deer.
We pay our money and think of things as belonging to us but can we really own a wildflower, a stream with glistening rocks, or quail calling to each other. We pull our trash out to the curb and let someone else take care of it but we are still responsible for it, even when we pay someone to take it away. And that is the physical trash, the thoughts, the way we communicate, we are responsible for it and the way it goes out into the world.
Imagine a world where all we sent out was love and generosity. Imagine that world is here, tomorrow.
