Evelynn just wants to be normal. This would be easy, if she were human. Following the death of her mate, Evelynn struggles to finish college and continue living as a normal person, but she and her best friend, Clay, are burdened by a pact to hide what they really are. Victoria, Evelynn's twin sister, grieves her sibling's loneliness and introduces her to Jon, a man with gray eyes, an unusually steady gaze and a past he keeps secret as fervently as Evelynn keeps hers.
