CHANGE OF ORDERS: When Politicians Fail, the Guardians of the State Must Take Charge

A country beset by political instability, an economy in permanent crisis, drug fuelled corruption, decadent behaviour by leaders of society, blatant hypocrisy and religious intolerance and oppression facing a People's Revolution. A Third World banana republic, right? Actually, no. In fact this was Ireland in the 1980's, when the failure of the country's leaders drove Colonel Bob Moran to contemplate organising a military take-over in order to restore strong leadership, stability and dignity to the country. Taking advantage of events as they happen, and sometimes manipulating situations, Moran manages to tip the balance so that even those who would be solidly opposed to a coup d'état feel they have little choice but to go along with his plan if they are to save the country from disaster.
