A decade ago, Dee Dupree Jackson experienced visions from a murder victim, helping her solve a crime from the 1960s and making her a local hero. Those days are gone and her life in a small Northeast Georgia town is ordinary, except for the secret she and her daughter, Sara, keep under wraps. Like Dee's Aunt Connie, Sara's clairvoyant characteristics showed up at an early age. By the time Sara is eight, her drawings and conversations with a ghost leave no doubt in Dee's mind that a family disaster is in the making -- and directly affects the son of her best friend and sister-in-law, Emmy. The lead FBI agent ignores Dee's plea to use Sara's drawings to help find a mysterious, creepy kidnapper who changes her identity at her slightest whim.
