Car Cruzin Bible Study Lakeview, Ohio 06-30-12

Today we went to a Car Cruzin at Lakeview Ohio and what a beautiful day we had. A storm had passed the night before and millions of people are still without electricity. But it would appear that Lakeview missed the most of the storm. Driving the two and a half hours we saw barns with their roofs blown off, houses damaged and many trees and limbs down. Many roads closed or detours were traveled. But look at those beautiful cars and trucks. The first 8 pictures have the car names and owners listed. I must honestly say that this is the first time I was at a car show since my Dad took me when I was a boy. I did stop one time at a Car Cruzin, but to see an old friend, Dick Vest. Dick had a AA Gas Slingshot Dragster that; as a teen, I polished his Mag Wheels. Dick had run Big Daddy Don Garletts and beat him 3 times while I was growing up. While I visited Dick at the Car Cruzin years later it was a joy to see him and his wife again. I had gone to school with his daughter and a few years later she called to tell me that Dick had passed away.
