Broken Trying To Lead

The hard truth that we as a people must come to know in order to begin the work of healing, is that leaders are hurting. The truth is leaders come under great attack, scrutiny, and pressure. Getting put in a leadership position doesn't create emotional wounds it only exposes what is already there. Ideally, before being given a position of authority, a title, and a platform one should have been prepared, healed and developed first. Many people covet leadership positions, secretly believing that the position will heal their spirit of rejection or their hurt. They don't realize that unhealed emotional wounds and being put in a position of leadership is a recipe for disaster.

We don't really have a systematic mechanism in place where we deal with the leader's emotional wounds and help them heal before we give them positions. The book provides the answer and antidote. This book is dedicated to those who are leaders in any capacity, whether it be ministry leaders, business leaders, or governmental leaders. Those who are already in leadership positions and those who believe that they have a call to leadership. You have a responsibility to yourself, your families and to those, you serve to make sure that you are emotionally, mentally and spiritually whole. The earth needs you.

Part I of the workbook is meant to focus on identifying the problem, signs, symptoms and root causes of brokenness in leaders. Before we move forward with the healing we must be clear about where, when and how the problem came to be.
