Brain Benders 3 contains thirty four challenging mathematical problem solving activities, specifically aimed at the 10-13 year group. The problems have been written to suit a range of abilities and ways of thinking and learning, and to help students become familiar with a variety of problem solving techniques.

Problem Solving Strategies

The strategies which this book encourages students to use and develop include: guess and check, looking for patterns, drawing and modeling objects, listing and eliminating possibilities, filling in grids, and using timelines.
