Pet sitter Penelope Paws is on a mission to uncover the truth behind her beloved client's untimely end - Harold, owner of UWS Finchley's Fantastic Fauna pet store. Searching for answers, Penelope stumbles upon an elite 5th Avenue wildlife trafficking network selling endangered animals. The upmarket clues descend - literally underground - into the grimy, graffiti-splashed, abandoned subway tunnels. There, she teams up with the elusive Night Owls to stop a bird buyer from incorporating his purchase into a powerful destructive potion. Armed with her sharp wits, her loyal tuxedo cat - Midnight, and Edgar the cryptic guiding crow, Penelope must outsmart the traffickers and the buyers. Penelope must save these animals and find the killer. Or, will she be zapped by the subway's third rail ending her pet-sitting gigs?
