In Beverly Hills, thirteen men meet to launch an ancient "treasure" upon the world. Thirty miles away in Malibu, impoverished filmmakers Martin and Monique put the finishing touches to a docudrama about the so-called "secret marriage" of King George IV they hope will raise the money to save the life of their seven-year old grandson, who has been stricken with a potentially fatal disease. But Hollywood isn't interested in their movie - until the pair stumble on a real Royal secret so explosive it could be the end of the British Monarchy as we know it. Now Hollywood is beating down their door and it seems their troubles are over. But Martin and Monique quickly discover that their troubles have only just begun as they find themselves trapped in a life-and-death struggle between two mysterious forces that will determine the fate not only of their own family and the Royal Family, but of the human family itself.
