Embark on a captivating journey through the diverse and enchanting world of more than 100 of the most common (and some not so common) bird species found in Japan.

This coffee table book is not a field guide but is also more than a collection of photographs. It is a celebration of the diversity and beauty of nature. I have added some facts and comments which you may find interesting. I was lucky enough to have lived in this beautiful country for just over three years - a period straddling the Covid pandemic. Bird watching was a good way to get out.

Apart from a few (where indicated) all photographs are my own. All birds are named in English and Japanese, but the rest of the text is in English.
