Biodeterioration of Cultural Property and Researches on Conservation of Heritage Buildings

Recent corona like pandemic outbreaks have warned the human beings that we are still a fragile species on this Planet Earth. We have to ponder in our past, look how Vedic, Harrapan, and Egyptian civilizations flourished and vanished ultimately. Our cultural heritage can help us to learn the lessons from past and we can preserve our rich culture and Good human Values for next generations. Not only cultural loss of valuables the biodeterioration has direct link to our economy as it is related to survival of UNESCO World heritage monuments. Methods and techniques described will be useful for the beginners in the field. International Council of Biodeterioration of Cultural Property (ICBCP) invited experts in the field and this volume presents their views into three separate sections. A.) Biodeterioration of cultural objects B.) Biodeterioration of heritage monuments, and C.) Conservation of intangible heritage. The researches in the field put fragrance in the atmosphere and bring promises for the new era.
