Moreover, recent discoveries have called attention to individuals whose research forms part of the historical background of these advances in biochem. knowledge. Hence this vol. includes additional citations for the many people listed in the previous edition, and the number of separate entries has increased. Includes individuals not usually listed among biologists or chemists, from disciplines ranging from physics to pharmacy. Each entry includes ref. to bio. or biblio. ref. works or citations of books and articles in serial pub., or both.
