Beyond Boundaries

This book confirms that disaggregated services such as solid waste management, on-plot and on-site community-based sanitation supported by nongovernment organizations, and other small-scale enterprises are effectively serving the poor directly. For large-scale services such as water supply, sewage, and wastewater treatment, international private operations have made headway by partnering with local governments, nongovernment organizations, and community-based groups. Case studies commissioned under the project are included, while the complete studies are on a CD-ROM.
