Between physics and metaphysics: philosophical implications of quantum mechanics

The essay takes into account the major assumptions of Quantum Mechanics exposing some of the philosophical implications arising from its shocking and uncanny discoveries. Firstly, an overview of the various experiments that constitute the main framework of Quantism Physics, will be analysed, secondly it will be shown how numerous are the similarities with different ancient esoteric philosophies that, de facto, had anticipated its main assumptions; these analogies will be evaluated carefully and extensively. As a conclusion, this work aims at showing how the crucial and bewildering philosophical consequences of Quantum mechanics could inevitably affect our picture of the world as well as our everyday life too.
