"Better for Being with You" describes the life events of Sister Bernadette Kenny, MMM, a visionary in establishing a mobile health unit, and a tireless advocate for the advancement of health-care delivery in rural Appalachia. Her extraordinary story is global. Sr. Bernie's early years were spent in Boston, Massachusetts; then, travel to Ireland; next to East Africa; and finally, to central Appalachia, where Sr. Bernie has lived for the past forty years. Sr. Bernie tells her story in the context of care, while encouraging the reader to develop their own philosophy of care, a philosophy that is holistic and culturally appropriate.
