Beskrivelse
So many times we think we know someone based on their outward appearance or success in life; but to be honest, we really don’t because there is so much more to their story! Behind The Smile is a glimpse into my story-- the mind and life of myself and six other individuals close to me. When you read the poems in sequence you will start to unveil secrets that I have been involuntarily keeping.
I wrote this book to shed light on my doubts, adversities, and overall journey in hopes that it would show that we are not so different from one another. Though the details of our lives vary; the emotions, thoughts, and experiences are extremely similar, if not the same.
The only way to truly know someone and realize how similar we are is to look behind their smile...
