Hvis man er godt inde i web development, API'er osv. er den ok, men hvis man som titlen antyder er lige begyndt at lære det, er den ikke velegnet. Forfatteren virker som om han er i tvivl om hvem hans læser er, nogen ting forventer at man ved, mens hans andre gange gå ned på et meget grundlæggende niveau. Bogen fokusere ikke så meget på JS men mere på web development, hvorfor at titlen er meget misvisende
