Beach Bummed

Maile Spencer and her troop of Girl Scouts stumble upon a dead body at the beach. That was the best part of their campout.

Not enough clues in the case and too much gossip force two Honolulu Police detectives to focus their murder investigation on Maile. The trouble really starts when one of their best witnesses, and a potential suspect, disappears, leaving Maile holding the bag. The timing couldn't be worse, with a new job starting, the dating scene on Oahu beginning to warm up, and the holidays right around the corner.

When the investigation shifts from one suspect to another, Maile knows better than to get involved with something best left alone. But where's the fun in that?
