Matthew Wright, Ph.D. is the chair of the physics department at Adelphi University. Prof. Wright has created and given the "Be a Shark" workshop at conferences and universities throughout the US and has a long history of helping students channel their inner shark. At Adelphi University, he enthusiastically teaches physics, explores quantum mechanics with laser-cooled atoms, and develops programs to help encourage students into and through physics in Higher Education. He has created the Cosmic Pathways conference which gives students a chance to explore the litany of physics careers available to hard-working students.
