Bad Eye: A journey of eye surgery and visual impairment

Bad Eye follows the diagnosis of a detached retina through multiple surgeries and failed efforts to save the vision. It details the onset of proliferative scarring, a disease that will defy even the best efforts of a recognized and respected surgeon. It tells the story of surgery and resulting vision loss from the patient's perspective and offers encouragement and humor to help others who may be undergoing surgeries or experiencing similar vision loss. This personal narrative will help those with vision loss to understand that even though single eye vision is recognized as a disability, it is largely dismissed because the person still has one "good eye." It identifies some of the challenges that will be faced and offers practical solutions through self-help ideas and encouragement.
