Astrobia: A Sonny and Breanne Mystery

Eighth graders Sonny and Breanne look nothing alike--a short black boy, a tall white girl--and are easy targets for bullies. Their special friendship develops when they discover they both have psychic powers: they can read minds and ghosts communicate with them. In Book 3 of the series, Sonny is contacted by the ghost of a former student who had been abducted by aliens from the planet of Astrobia. It is not long before the aliens also abduct Sonny. He has the intelligence and problem solving ability to escape, but he is too scared to think. Breanne has to summon all of her mind reading skills to make contact with Sonny to calm him enough so that he can find his way home.
