Artificial Intelligence and Photography

This book shows how artificial intelligence can be used as an effective medium in order to help the photographer create interesting and expressive photographs. By using an Image Generator, it is possible to create images that express ideas and concepts through written text. This book shows many examples of photographs made in this manner. It explains the strengths and weaknesses of this technology at the present time as well as some interesting possibilities that Artificial Intelligence opens up for the creative photographer.

Using this process, I was able to create many different kinds of photographs including: Documentary Photographs, Surreal Photographs, Multiple Exposure Photographs, Fantasy Photographs, Landscapes, Abstract Photographs and Portraits etc. The photographer works with the Image Generator in partnership. He must carefully plan and visualize the photograph in order to communicate his visual ideas to a picture audience. The next step is to carefully describe in writing his ideas and the Image Generator converts the written text to a visual image. Then, the image can be enhanced by the photographer by means of photoshop or an enhancement software that uses Artificial Intelligence in order to improve the quality of the image.
