An Intimate Nature

Tina Wilson is an Australian artist whose works are inspired by the exquisite beauty of nature. In this first volume of artworks, based on fallen leaves, Tina pairs delicate and bold artworks with words of wisdom from those in her community. 

The artworks are small, intimate studies of nature from found leaves by the artist in her local environment; elegantly depicted in watercolour, acrylic and gouache and painted on a variety of surfaces including paper, slate and plywood.

The book captures some of the feelings and thoughts of the community in which the artist lives, with each quote relating to a specific artwork and the contributors individual journey in life – stories we all share.

The artworks are inspired by the artist’s surroundings, a new stage in her life and a return to her roots.

An Intimate Nature reminds us all of the beauty inherent in nature, in the small things in life, and the importance of taking time to stop and appreciate the world around us.
