Aloha Goodbye

On a cruise to Hawaii, enjoying his holiday with Jane, DI Matthew Goodwin is again thrown into the depths of a mystery full of intrigue and deceit. Troubled characters, strained relationships and ghosts from the past contribute to the events that play out on board the 'Pearl of the Pacific' as it sails onward to Hilo, the Big Island. Investigating the murder of a member of the crew, Goodwin is hampered by data access issues and limited investigative tools onboard, he elicits help from members of his team back in the UK to analyse data and narrow the suspect pool from the 4500 passengers and crew. In just a few short hours a killer will disembark on Hilo, an island of stunning beauty and ready made for hiding in the shadows of Mauna Loa. The captain is under pressure when his decision to keep the crimes onboard from other passengers and crew is questioned. Working together, are Goodwin and the Captain putting Islanders at risk and letting a killer escape or preventing panic and a floating disaster?
