Sustainable development of water resources is a key to the maintenance of the natural eco-system which supports the wellbeing of human populations.This collection of papers provides an ecosystems approach to watershed andwetlands planning and management. The volume is one of five of the outputof the Environmental Capacity Enhancement Project - a four year projectinvolving participants from thirteen African countries. It assesses theeco-systems approach, tools for implementation, case studies of opportunities for development and assessments of threats to sustainable water resources development in Eastern and Southern Africa.
