A Winding Road out of Milwaukee

Jerry McCarthy, in charge of external research at Bradbury Pharmaceuticals is fired as an incompetent manager and accused accomplice in a scheme to defraud the company. At the trial of his accomplice, Bernard Temkin, Jerry testifies for the prosecution to save his own skin. In need of an image boost, Jerry becomes a member of the Semper fi Gun Club and vows to kill Temkin. Finding himself entangled with right-wing groups during the 2016 Presidential election, Jerry casts his vote for Trump and starts volunteering in the Republican Party. Along the way, Jerry gets compass adjustments from an old female friend and solace in the arms of a new lover. Now, living with a wife, a mother-in-law and a new baby, Jerry deals with Temkin one final time and adjusts to a new way of life as a rising star in the Wisconsin Republican Party.
