New York City is a jungle. Careers, friendships, romance-nothing comes easy or simple in the Big Apple.

For five young entrepreneurs, life gets especially messy when the lines of friendship, love, and career get crossed.

Tre, the hottest hip-hop producer in the city, can have any woman-except the one he really wants. Only interested in friendship, choreographer Tammy doesn't share Tre's interest in fame and glamour. She works hard, avoids the limelight, and, unlike Tre, prefers to keep their relationship strictly professional.

Unfortunately, Tammy needs something from Tre: help.

Tammy knows that she can't launch the career of her new boyfriend, Carlos, without Tre's backing. An aspiring hip-hop star, Carlos is an ex-con with messy relationships of his own.

Tammy looks to her best friend since high school, Crystal, to help her keep her relationship a secret from Tre and to navigate the fraught situation she's created for herself. Meanwhile, Carlos seeks counsel from his friend Reds-Crystal's ex.
