Charles Dicken Novel A Tales of Two City tell the history of a doctor that has been unjustly imprison for 18 years in the dark and infamous Bastille, the plot is set Paris and London prior and during the French Revolution. The novel depicts the plight of the French peasantry demoralized by the French aristocracy in the years leading up to the revolution, the corresponding brutality demonstrated by the revolutionaries toward the former aristocrats in the early years of the revolution, and many unflattering social parallels with life in London during the same period, It follows the lives of several characters through these events. After his relive from prison Dr. Alexandre Manette has been given lodgings by his former servant Ernest Defarge and his wife Therese in the Paris neighborhood of Saint Antoine where they own a wine shop. Meanwhile Mr. Lorry arrives in Dover, he meets with Dr. Manette's daughter Lucie and her governess, Miss Pross. Lucie has believed her father to be dead, and faints at the news that he is alive; Mr. Lorry takes her to France to reunite with him. Dr. Manette finally reunited with his daughter Lucie that was leaving in England and thought him dead all those year and with the help of Lorry the go back to England.
