A Study of the Internal or Spiritual Sense of the Fifth Book of Moses called Deuteronomy

The Hebrew Books that constitute the Word of God have an several layers of meaning. As well as describing the history of the Jewish church, they also describe the stages of regeneration of the individual human soul. By means of the theological works of Emanuel Swedenborg, the author has endeavored, on the principles laid down by Swedenborg, to translate the text concisely from the language of historical narrative into that of the inner sense dealing with human regeneration. In this, he uses what best we know concerning the correspondence between the things in the natural material world and those in the inner or mental and spiritual world, as unfolded in the New Church.
