A Comparative Analysis of Contemporary Russian and Bulgarian Vocabularies

This book examines word pairs with similar meanings from two closely related languages-Russian and Bulgarian. Specifically, this book offers a historical overview of research on Russian and Bulgarian vocabularies. It further outlines the key principles and develops a method for conducting a comparative analysis of similar word pairs in closely related languages. Using this method, the author offers a detailed analysis-from both a structural and semantic perspective-of several hundred pairs of corresponding words in Russian and Bulgarian.
