Beskrivelse
The World of the year 2050 is a grim one. Scotland is independent and a member of the new European Federation. The Federation has grown from the old European Union but now sees itself as a military power that might like to take independent England back. The English government has asked the Americans to send troops to defend them. But the Americans have a: President Eliam Gardner who fancies World domination. Our story's central character Robert Davies is an Englishman of Welsh parentage. A talented architect he is forbidden to practice because his father serves the exiled Royal Family in Jersey. Robert is a reclusive man, with an inner steel, and unwillingly he becomes a focal figure in his country's liberation. But not all Americans share their President's World ambitions. We meet good Americans who play a part in bringing a just conclusion. This novel is largely fantasy and not intended to be hostile to the United States or any other nation. It is perhaps just a mild warning.
