GOT SEEN: An Autobiography

Steve Garfield is a visionary who looks at disparate things, and sees ways to combine them into new and exciting endeavors. Steve Garfield's Video Blog, one of the first and longest running video blog on the web, until he stopped posting there on October 31, 2011, has been a source of inspiration to innovators in web video since January 1, 2004. Steve is a proponent of enabling people to share their stories without getting caught up in the intricacies of high end video production systems. He helped to popularize the idea of delivering video via RSS 2.0 with media enclosures through his early reporting on Rocketboom. Steve broke new ground in citizen reporting, and live video streaming, with his coverage of the 2004 and 2008 Presidential campaigns. In 2012, Steve posted a few Instagrams of his voting experience, along with his iconic photos of the beer he was drinking and what he was having for dinner. Steve started video blogging because he wanted to experiment with new was of sharing stories using new technologies. Relationships he developed during his video blogging years, lead him to invest in people. Garfield's angel investments have been in the fields of video, 3D printing, on-demand workspace rentals, an auto dealership, and a brewery. This is his autobiography. Cheers!
