Allagash Adventures

The book depicts travel adventures by the Author as he challenges the complex Allagash waterways in Northern Maine. Kenn Brooks, along with Master Maine Guide Raymond Reitze, Jr., put their expertise to use as they meander through rough rapids and expansive lakes in an attempt to conquer what The Allagash River System has to offer. Each trip is a multi-day sojourn over the unique waterway system, with most outings lasting ten days in duration. Each trip offers something different in the final outcome in terms of evidence of Maine wildlife, as well as how the canoeists negotiate rapids with varying degrees of difficulty. This is a story of the building of teamwork and the special bond of camaraderie resulting in the successful completion of one of Maine's most difficult outdoor journeys.
